Vauxhall is one of the last bastions of UK van manufacturing, and the company is so proud of this fact that it created a new country - ‘BritVAN’ - for its ‘Made In BritVAN’ marketing campaigns. As part of the Stellantis Group, Vauxhall vans are essentially rebadged versions of the small, medium and large vans offered by Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat, but have remained incredibly popular in the UK.
Let’s take a closer look at the 5 best Vauxhall vans on offer right now to find out why they keep on selling and why they might be the perfect vans for you.

1. Vauxhall Vivaro

For those in search of a versatile medium van, the Vauxhall Vivaro has remained an incredibly popular one. Over the years it has always boasted an appealing design and offered substantial payload capacities. Inside, the cabin is designed for comfort (previous generations have even bigger cabins than the modern ones), making it a well-rounded choice for a van. The electric version is now on offer (and selling better than most of its competition) with the latest version featuring an all-new look - the Auto Trader review is coming soon!

2. Vauxhall Combo

Compact and capable - there’s not really any better way to define the Vauxhall Combo small van. Originally just another car-derived van, despite its small size, this van offers a convincing 3.4-meter loading length and can (in certain models) carry a 1000kg payload, proving that its performance is not impacted by its compact dimensions. Electric and diesel versions are available in varying outputs and sizes, meaning you’d actually have to go out of your way to find a Combo that doesn’t work for you. A facelifted version is on the way.

3. Vauxhall Movano

When it comes to large vans, the Vauxhall Movano stands out among its platform-sharing sister vehicles since it’s often available on excellent deals. With four available loading lengths and three roof heights, as well as the choice of front-wheel drive, electric and diesel power plants, single rear-wheel drive, or twin rear-wheel drive models, this large van offers versatility. If you need size and practicality for a good price, Movano is where I’d start. And, there’s a facelifted version on the way too.

4. Vauxhall Corsavan

The Vauxhall Corsavan ranks as one of the longest-serving Vauxhall vans and has been a stalwart presence in Vauxhall's LCV lineup for two decades. It was discontinued in 2018 in its fourth iteration, and came in a single load volume of 0.92 cubic metres. It was offered in two trim levels (base and Sportive), and a choice of three engines. Demand for the Corsavan declined due to the rise of compact vans since 2008. Corsavan continues to sell on the pre-loved market thanks to competitive running costs, comfort, and stylish design. You can still find them today on the Auto Trader marketplace.

5. Vauxhall Astra Van

The Astra Van shares its DNA with (you guessed it) the Astra estate car of old, with no rear seats or windows - it underwent significant re-engineering to meet commercial demands. It wasn’t exactly a leap to convert this car into a van, especially when you consider Vauxhall’s success with the Corsavan (above). It offered a strong load capacity, but its standout features always lay in how it looked, the car-like interior and impressive on-road performance. As true today as it was when new, not many car-derived vans quite matched the Astra van's appeal from the driver's standpoint. You can still find them on the Auto Trader marketplace from time to time.
