Is the Hennessey Venom F5 the world’s fastest car?

Hennessey is known for modifying high-performance sports cars to make them even faster, but its latest venture has blown all others out of the water. A sequel to the incredible Venom GT, the Texas-built Venom F5 is faster than the Bugatti Chiron and has the price tag to match.
As a manufacturer, Hennessey’s mission is to attain the title of "world’s fastest production car", and they may have done just that. The Hennessey Venom F5 coupe sold out almost immediately upon its release in 2021, but that’s not stopped Auto Trader’s Rory Reid from getting behind the wheel and showing off its power in our latest video.

Hennessey claims the Venom F5 Roadster is "the world’s fastest and most powerful convertible," and is capable of smashing 300mph. Producing 1,800 horsepower, the Venom F5 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.6-litre V8 engine, and is capable of achieving a 0-300km/h time of 10 seconds flat.

Only 24 were built, so it’s no surprise that the 2021 Venom F5 Coupe sold for £1.5 million each. Unfortunately, every unit was snapped up almost immediately after going on sale, but Hennessey are releasing their 2022 roadster this winter and it’s expected to sell for around £3 million.
